The Kintsugi

Written by
Come with me, witness the Extraordinary!  Now possessing an aesthetic beauty, admirable and rare with an appealing excellence.  She is Exquisite.  Acute, and incomparable in comparison.  Life violently transitioned her from a process to the promise, from a dream to the fulfillment of her destiny.  In the hands of the Kintsugi, a transformation from what was seen as worthless, now priceless and sought after.  Placed on display by the master craftsman, exhibiting the work of His Hands for all to see. A delicate precious piece of porcelain fell from her hands, it was shattered, broken beyond repair.  As she watched it fall, making every attempt to catch it, her hand was cut.  Notwithstanding, the contents full, the cup brimming hot.  Ultimately fragmented, leaving a mess behind to clean up.  Broken she stared with tear filled eyes. Representative of her life, she was filled to the brim.  The torrid anguish of her soul crying out in pain.  Life told her she was nothing more than a piece of earthenware, bearing cracks of broken promises, dreams, trust, and now a broken spirit.  A graduate of disappointment now educated fully that things break.  Daily, she longed for a new dawn to break. …

Spreading Your Wings

Written by
Philippians 1:6 6 Being confident of this very thing, that he which hath begun a good work in you will perform it until the day of Jesus Christ: All month, I questioned why I was not only able to write a February blog, but always given words to write my daily nuggets. I was becoming frustrated and confused, as I could not understand why a monthly blog was not on the list of things to do. That is when God tenderly spoke to me about the life of a butterfly. Just as surely, the heavens and the earth declare the glory of God, Elohim made it so we do too. As we all know, this has been a very interesting winter to say the least, but it was also a magical time. So, as I sat quietly, with God, He reminded me one of His names is Elohim, the God of all creation. In His infinite wisdom, He reminded me of a place in Connecticut that after a summer rain, hundreds of butterflies would emerge. As I smiled, He then told me to look at the butterfly. Now while many of us are…

TAKING IT TO THE NEXT LEVEL

Written by
Mark 9:23King James Version (KJV) 23 Jesus said unto him, If thou canst believe, all things are possible to him that believeth. Many of us have been blessed with seeing another year.  I know for me, this is a year that I am not only grateful, but excited about what is ahead.  This is my year of turnaround!  I believe every promise God has made in my life.  And let’s face it, there comes a time you have to put on your big girl shoes, and take that next step.  It is true, you can do all things through Him who strengthens you!  God alone is able to do far more abundantly than any of us can ask or think, but it is according to the power at work within us.  That itself is a key statement!  That power that God has placed within you will take you to the next level.  Going to another level can be a challenge, but because God has been preparing you over the years, it is not only obtainable, necessary.  Yes, you thirst for it because God placed that seed within you before you were even born.  Perhaps you think that it is too late,…

WHEN GOD SAYS TO WAIT

Written by
Habakkuk 2:3 3 For the vision is yet for an appointed time, but at the end it shall speak, and not lie: though it tarry, wait for it; because it will surely come, it will not tarry. When God makes you a promise you become overjoyed and waiting is not on the list of things that you think is part of the process. God has perfect timing, and even though you know that He is faithful to His word, it is ultimately His timing! As I was in prayer, I was in tears as God continued to show me a plane hovering. I had no idea why I was seeing a plane, but then a small voice said “hover”. Well, I began to pray even more. You see, I desire and hunger to hear the voice of God. Now the more I searched for an answer, the more frustrated I became. It was not until I laid down for the evening that God began to minister to me. And what He said was this. Never doubt or fear, for the promises are true and they shall be fulfilled, but for now, you are like the plane that is hovering.…

When Seasons Change

Written by
Ecclesiastics 3:1 3 To every thing there is a season, and a time to every purpose under the heaven: Many of you know that I lost my mother last year. It is still as if it were yesterday at times. There are momen...ts when I want to call her and realize that she is no longer here to answer the telephone. Now what some don’t know is that my mother had me at the young age of 14. Needless to say, this created problems growing up. She was wild and at times lived on the edge. For a young girl not understanding many things, it would be years later when I became a mother myself, that I would come to realize and understand how she gave what she had to give. She was but a child herself when she had me. That was when the Lord allowed me to heal and forgive her of the many injustices I felt that I had suffered at the hand of a child trying to raise a child. Not only did I forgive her, but God restored our relationship of that which was lost and destroyed over the years before…

GOD MADE ME A WOMAN - A Spoken Word

Written by
God M God Made Me A Woman I have no apologies for whom or what I am; I have no regrets for the journey I have taken Clothed in integrity and virtue; for tenacity has kept me and has adorned me with its wisdom God made me a woman, this is not synonymous with weakness for I am Loving, forgiving and tender, At times I have had to walk alone and stand; for yes, God made me a woman My feet have journeyed roads less taken, these are the steps of my future, they have shaped me and Life’s pruning has been bitter at times, but my end results are sweeter than honeycombs God has clothed me with attributes which have been dormant and awakened from the storms of life For my virtue is not for sale, and my integrity is a rare commodity Yes my words are powerful, capable of giving life as well as death, but wisdom has cried aloud and vigorously, and unyieldingly qualified me, Completed me for the journeys of life that only a woman of God can walk Let me remind you that I have no apologies for whom or what I am; I have…

A BALANCE OF THE MIND, BODY & SOUL

Written by
Isaiah 61:3 To appoint unto them that mourn in Zion, to give unto them beauty for ashes, the oil of joy for mourning, the garment of praise for the spirit of heaviness; that they might be called trees of righteousness, the planting of the Lord, that he might be glorified. There is an old saying that you get what you pay for and I believe it to be true.  That is most of the time anyway.  But while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us.  You see Jesus received the punishment for sins he had not committed.  There are many that would say, that they did not deserve what has happened to them in their life.  Others would still say, that some did not get what they truly deserved.  However, when you examine the Grace of God and His mercy, you come to realize that Grace is receiving that which you are unworthy o.  Mercy is not being held accountable for, or punished for, that which you have done. I realized that for over 33 years, I was always caring for or taking care of others.  Now, God was in control and taking care of me.  Of course He…

ABOVE ALL........I HOPE YOU DANCE

Written by
Ecclesiastes 2:10 Whatever my eyes desired I did not keep from them.  I did not withhold my heart from any pleasure, For my heart rejoiced in all my labor; and this was my reward from all my labor. As a child I can remember my mother dancing with me.  She would take my hands and place my small feet on top of hers and we would dance, sometimes spinning in circles until I became dizzy.  I would grow to miss the times we spent dancing but it was a tradition that I continued with my children as their feet were too small to keep up; but like me; I am sure they enjoyed it just the same. Looking back over the years I began to understand that my mother was just a young girl of 14 when she gave birth to me so it was hard for her at times.  But it would not be until I was a parent myself that I would come to obtain a deeper understand as to why she made many of the decisions that she made; and now, being a mother myself, I have an even deeper love for her. You see, many of…

FINDING FREEDOM UNDER THE GEORGIA SKIES

Written by
I faced a cross road & defining moment like many of us do at some point of our lives, we all come to learn that life is full of journeys and being free is one of the hardest roads to take.  God desires that we are  free and it would take me 50 years to come to the realization that most of my life I had for the most part done what I thought others wanted me to do, or what I believed was the right thing to do!  Now, at 50 I was to walk the journey to freedom and it would begin with my leaving Connecticut.  There are sacrifices that we make in life whether it is in marriage, childbearing, friendships or working every day; but the ultimate sacrifice we can make is the one that releases everything we ever knew, and move from the familiar to the unfamiliar.  I had gone through a divorce and for years I was walking with a heart that said “my will and not God’s will” but I had come to the pointof change, and wanting more than life had yielded.  Crossroads are never easy because you have a choice.  For…
