1 Thessalonians 5:24 He who calls you is faithful, who also will do it.
2 Corinthians 1:20 For all the promises of God in Him are Yes, and in Him Amen, to the glory of God through us.

We have all prayed and gone before God at different times in our lives and many times we become discouraged when it seems like our promises from God have not manifested just yet. We see everyone around us, getting married, buying homes, and the list can go one. We rejoice with them and for them; but at night when no one can see or hear us, we cry. Sometimes we forget that there is no rainbow without the rain.

I have so many friends that have felt this  way and at times I have also but God spoke to my heart on the matter and it allowed me to have encouragement. See we live during microware times and some things still take a conventional oven for the finished product to be perfected.

God asked me one thing: From Genesis to Revelation where do you see a promise I made being fulfilled instantly/spontaneously? And as I searched and found the answer God began to minister to me allowing me to find hope, joy and anticipation of His greatness and His promises to me answered!!!

In sharing this with a friend I am going to put down some of her answers to me in honor of her and the love that has developed in our spiritual walk.  She did not look for me to always give her the answers, she is diligent is searching the scriptures as well.  Truly I am blessed to have her as a sister ALTHOUGH, I DON’T THINK SHE LIKED THE QUESITION AT FIRST…hehehehe
She got it!!! ♥

This is why there is a season of planting the promises in our hearts and later receiving of the harvest of the promises God makes:

1. God uses delays to prepare us. The Israelites were a slave people and they weren't prepared for war, and God knew if they went to war they wouldn't be able to handle it. Every dream has its difficulties. God uses delays to get us ready for those difficult times that we are going to face during the course of our journey. These delays are designed to strengthen our faith and make us stronger.

2. God uses delays to test us. Deut. 8:2, "God led you through the wilderness for forty years... testing you to find out how you would respond and if you would obey Him." God uses delays to test how we will respond under pressure and to test our loyalty and obedience to Him.

3. God uses delays to train us because sometimes it takes longer to get Egypt out of us than it does to get us out of Egypt. The culture and habits of Egypt was engrained in the hearts and minds of the Israelite people. God could bring them out of Egypt in one night but it would take years to get Egypt out of them.

•When you and I got saved we had habits and thought patterns that were of this world. When we got saved those thought patterns and habits came with us. God uses the delays to break those habits and thought patterns and train you in His way of thinking and doing things. The best thing to do when you are in God's waiting room is be patient and let God do His work in your life.

Thank you Paris West for being a part of this post….May other’s continue to stay encouraged and hold onto their promises!!!

Years ago I had one of my sons return home HIV positive and when I questioned God He told me that it was because of The enemies hatred of Him and who God made me. I cried wondering if this same child that took his first breath in my arms would take his last. Tenderly God embraced me and He also said that He was taking care of my son. My son has never needed any medication over the ten year period but during that time God told me He was healed....It would be years but on the third day when I began praying for others God reminded me of the many promises He had made me over the years. You see the many things I lost and  sacrificed were great as I followed Him.  My son had to go to two different doctors to be tested and have blood work done for a new job. They got the results back and called him in. No traces, damages or evidence that he was HIV positive. So I say this...hold onto whatever promise God has given you, never waiver for to waiver in your faith could cost a life. !!!

God has made me many promises over the years.  He has shown me my future life and who I was to share it with and  as time continues, I focus on what He is saying to do in this season but I will continue to believe Him knowing that His delays are just preparing me to receive His promises!

James 1: 6-8
6 But let him ask in faith, with no doubting, for he who doubts is like a wave of the sea driven and tossed by the wind. 7 For let not that man suppose that he will receive anything from the Lord; 8 he is a double-minded man, unstable in all his ways.
